American Roulette vs. French Roulette

Below we offer details about the difference between American roulette & French roulette. Additionally, we'd like to invite you to join the real and growing online community of roulette players here at Gamble-World. It is simple to join, and you can do so now by clicking the 'no download free roulette' image located immediately above and to the right of this text. Once you click the image and our game window pops up, it's just a few simple steps to register and start playing. Notably, our games have the following advantages - no download required; 100% free gaming, there are no catches, there is no real money involved; built in chat room that allows you to chat with other players as you await the luck of the spinning.

How they are different

American Roulette is played using a wheel that consists of thirty-eight slots, each with its own number. The numbers on the American roulette wheel are 1 to 36, 0, and 00. The numbers alternate pairs of odd numbers with pairs of even numbers. The numbers also alternate between black and red. Both the 0 and 00 slots are green in color. The American roulette table is designed so that the numbers, not including 0 and 00, are lined up into three columns, each of twelve numbers, the first row is 1,2,3; the second row is 4,5,6 and so on. The rest of the table is devoted to the myriad bets the game entails.

The French roulette wheel has 36 numbers, and only the single zero, unlike the American roulette wheel which also has the numbers 1 to 36 but with two zeros (0 and 00). That aside, French roulette is actually quite similar to American roulette. The numbers on the roulette wheel alternate pairs of odd numbers with pairs of even numbers. The numbers also alternate between black and red. Both the 0 and 00 slots are green in color. The French roulette wheel is found mostly in Europe and South American casinos, and is seldom seen in the U.S.A. Playing French roulette offers a much more attractive house edge (because there is one less 0 slot). Playing the single zero French roulette wheels can cut the house edge of roulette in half, so it's always better to play this game if you have the option.
